This course through VAR by Randy Mayhew School of Real Estate reviews the Vermont Real Estate Commission rules relating to Conduct of Licensees (Part 4 of the Rules) including both existing rules and rules changed or added effective April 15, 2008. Emphasis is given to a review and discussion of the regulatory aspects of buyer brokerage (This is NOT a course on buyer broker compensation or liability). The final 1.5 hours is devoted to a review and analysis of six (6) specific hypotheticals emphasizing regulatory aspects of buyer brokerage, but also including other issues such as advertising, avoiding dual agency, basic disclosure requirements, unlicensed assistants, using the new mandatory consumer disclosure form and rule, and avoiding prohibited practices such as designated brokerage and transactional brokerage.
