Membership Meeting and Fire Safety Updates

The Southern Vermont Board of Realtors will be hosting a meeting at the Old School Community Center (OSCC) on Wednesday, February 22 starting at 9am with a brief 15-minute member update.

Our February meeting will focus on homeowner and renter safety and will also be open to the public. It will be a great chance to learn about fire safety, and to meet folks in our community.

Vermont State Assistant Fire Marshal Patrick Banks will be on hand to provide new updates that are especially important to the residential and rental home market in our area, including information about smoke detector awareness. Did you know that there are many types of smoke detectors and, not only do the batteries expire, but so do the actual devices! Come learn the new rules for residential and rental properties affecting real estate sales.

During the meeting, SVBR will be announce new classes, including an upcoming Mandatory class. Coffee will be available, possibly some snacks as well.
